Activities in Blackheath

Lily of the Valley Cottage is an easy walk to Blackheath Village. The village has an interesting variety of shops, restaurants, cafes and galleries including the historic Victory Theatre which has been transformed into a fascinating antique centre and bistro. Blackheath also features a sports ground, tennis courts, swimming pool, a playground for children and golf club.

Blackheath is famous for its annual 'Rhododendron Festival' held in November each year and also hosts many art exhibitions and music concerts for all tastes. The popular Farmer's Market is held on the 2nd Sunday of each month. Don't miss Yulefest in July each year.

Blackheath offers many breathtaking views and bush walks to experience. Govetts Leap and Evans Lookout provide views of the Grose Valley and starting points for walks to glens, falls and picnic areas.

Local Golf Courses include Blackheath, Katoomba, Leura and Wentworth Falls.

In the Area

Visit the spectacular attractions the Blue Mountains has to offer including the Three Sisters, Echo Point and Scenic World at Katoomba, Wentworth Falls, fantastic shopping and dining in Leura, the historic village of Mt Victoria, Megalong Valley for horse riding, the grand circular drive using the Bells Line of Road where you can explore the Hawkesbury Highlands and stop in at the Mount Tomah Botanic Gardens. Blackheath is also close enough to take a day trip out to Oberon and the Jenolan Caves.
